So in approximately 4 hours I will be off to face my nemesis otherwise known as the NAPLEX. Wish me luck. Hopefully I come out of the exam OK... 😳

Yes, but it feels so good to have it finished.

How did it go?

My heart was definitely racing moments before walking into the testing room. I think root of all the nerves was the fear of the unknown. I studied so much, but really had no clue if what I focused on was going to be on the exam.

Here's the verdict...

I'll admit, it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. Like many of you, there wasn't a main focus/topic on the exam. I had a pretty even blend of infectious DZ, HTN, cancer, IBD and calculations. I had a few questions on asthma as well as quite a few stats questions. I was surprised by the type of stats questions asked. I definitely didn't prepare and made educated guesses. I think I had 1 or 2 kinetics questions as well. I'm praying I did well enough to pass. I hope I can celebrate like many of you in the coming days/weeks!

What exactly is a stats question?

The best way I can explain it without being too specific is interpreting data you see in clinical studies. They weren't difficult. I just hadn't prepared a lot for that topic. Go over old class notes. None of my review materials covered stats.

Sounds like we had a very similar test! I was also surprised with the statistics stuff. Didn't see that one coming. I mean I knew they'd have a question or two but I think I had quite a few of them.

I'm sure you did great!!

the stats questions were weird and I completely guessed 2 out of 3 of them.

Agreed. I remembered going over the concepts presented in the question, but I would've never guessed that they'd show up on the exam.
