I have an interview at Midwestern on 11/3. I live near LA and I was thinking if I should just drive there. I think it is about 400 miles away. What do you guys think???? Also, what are things to do near the Midwestern? I know its close to Phoenix, but whats over there? Dunno anything about Phoenix. Thanks!

First of all congrats on the interview! I personally would just drive out here, it'll save you a lot of money in flight, rental car, and the time saved by flying will be minimal (I've done the drive a few times and its really not too bad).

And what is there to do out here! There is a lake about 30 min north of school where some students will go tubing or jet skiing, and then there is tubing down the salt river, Hiking all over the place, About 15 min south of school is westgate center where there's restaurants, bars, Cardinals stadium ( and I believe coyotes play there too). On some weekends we'll get together and head out to downtown scottsdale. Then of course theres everything that comes along with Phoenix (professional sports teams, ASU...) If you want to go for a weekend drive there is the grand canyon, sedona, jerome, etc, etc! Really there's lots of shenanigans to get into out here. First year is pretty busy but second year you get more freedom.

Anyways best of luck with your interview feel free to pm me if there's any other q's!

Get a friend to accompany you if it's possible. That will help ease up the trip and make this venture more fun.
