Hi guys,

Sorry for another aadsas question! A few of my extracurricular organization names/ college course full names/ my job company names don't fit in the blank, because the blank only allows for like 30 characters! It doesn't make any sense to me why AADSAS would have such a short cut off. is this happening to you guys too, and how do you work around it?

they do it b/c they dont want the app to be filled with bs rather than academic achievements

but don't they want me to write down the full course name exactly as it it appears on my transcript? Would my application get delayed because I cut off half of the course's descriptive name?

They set the character limit. They know it doesn't accommodate much. They're not going delay your application because your course descriptions are cutoff due to their character limit. Type it exactly as it appears on your transcript...and when you run out of room, you move on. There's not much of an option here. You can call AADSAS in the morning and ask them to increase the character limit, but you'll be hung up on.

lol I'm getting really bad at distinguishing between sarcasm and truth. Maybe it's because I'm freaking out! haha anyway I called AADSAS and they told me that they send out the first batch at the end of June and it wouldn't matter if I submit today vs a week from now. Kinda seems weird to me but that's what AADSAS told me...So why is everyone so keen to submit on the 1st?

I really want to be considered a very early applicant but I'm getting diff info from diff people...it's so frustrating!

I just wanted it done and out of the way. I was more interested in getting my transcript form printed off and to the registrar on the 1st than submitting it since that is something that can potentially hold up the whole process.

Yeah, the AADSAS person also told me that as long as the transcripts are in, my app shouldn't be held up long. I just wonder if they start processing apps now (verifying grades and such) and send out a set amount of apps at the end of June. I want to try and get it turned in this week but part of me wants to get in some shadowing of a specialist in the next 2 weeks. I have only shadowed a general dentist and I'm worried this is going to hurt me.

You know, I really wish we could all meet in person and just talk about all this stress!! 🙄

i just wanted to get it out of the way for one and also wanted to get everything verified far in advance. Also, schools see exactly what day you submitted it. Interpret that how you like.
