Here's the thing. I have already received 12 interviews for psych program (top 25 school, good clinical eval, etc) but I know that several programs want a passing score for Step 2 in order to rank.
Should I cancel those interviews? This is hopeless.
Took the CS today and I should receive the score in Dec.
CS today was just quite "wtf" for me.
1) For the first patient, I blanked out for a sec and forgot to talk about his chronic med condition (ie. how well he has everything under control, etc).
2) I forgot to write about SIGECAP for one patient in the PE (though I talked about it in the History).
3. For the phone encounter, I ran out of space for History and couldn't have time to finish the notes (wrote down DDx and Workup plan but I just don't have time to find things in History to delete and add more pertinent stuff, it was bull****)
4. For half of the patients, I panicked and didn't do a quick summary with them.
5. For a patient with a clear presentation, I forgot to ask about PMH and FMH because FMH wouldn't help with ddx and treatment at that point (ie. someone coming in with a dislocated ankle or something)
6. For a patient who was lying down when I walked in, I didn't drape him at all because I didn't have to do an ab exam on him (just head/neck/chest).
7. For one patient, I just asked, "so, I hear that you have ______, do you want to tell me more about it?" instead of "what brought you in?"
8. I tried to shake hand with a patient who refused to shake hand (so I didn't get to shake hand).
9. I was out of time for a couple patients so I couldn't finish the closure (ie. didn't get to ask, "anything else on your mind?" "nice meeting you, goodbye", etc)
the list goes on, omg
my school also requires passing of CS to graduate.............................
