Application has been in since July, but had them put it on hold since my 2nd retake wasn't too well.

Your gpa is below average.
Your DAT scores are good, but you had to retake 3x.

Your ECs are superb.

Your stats probably aren't good enough for Michigan unless you're a resident. There's still post-dec interview slots at the other schools you listed. IMHO I think you've a good chance of post-Dec interviews. Good luck!

Yeah I know my GPA is below average, was just hoping they would look at my last 2 years more then anything.

Also do they look at it as a bad thing that I took it 3x? While I didn't do so hot the first 2 times I did pretty well my 3rd time, so don't know how they look at that.

What's done is done. Your DAT scores are good and don't warrant another retake. If you have the opportunity, bringing up your gpa will increase your chances.

Otherwise just sit tight and wait for interviews.

I'm taking 3 science classes at a post-bac for the Spring semester, so that should raise my GPA incase I will be reapplying next year.

I ask about the DAT questions because I was wondering if that was your opinion or if you possibly heard that from a certain school. I figured since I did way better than my previous scores they would see how determined I was to do better and see that I was able to.

You have great stats, if you have to reapply I'd make sure to keep shadowing (or assisting if you can) and make sure your personal statement is good.

Yes I reckon you have a good shot at post December interviews, esp the private schools on your list

I bet you have a pretty good shot. Good DAT, upward trending GPA, ridiculous ECs. I'd say the only thing holding you back is the date of your 3rd retake, but even with that, I'd bet you get some interviews after the holidays. Hang in there!

I don't remember exactly, but one had to do with variety of bacteria and the diseases they cause I think and another one had to do with I think a chromosomal issue.

The type of questions were even based on what you feel the writer felt and then just what did it say word for word basically in the topic.

I did pretty well my firstDAT in RC with a 21

I just got an email inviting me to interview at NYU. I had an undergrad GPA of 3.2 and a grad GPA of 3.7 with a 21 AA and 20 TS DAT score, with a 19 on the PAT.

So you probably stand a decent chance. 🙂

AADSAS sent it in on 10/26 so it was a pretty late one. I didn't send my check in to NYU until the beginning of November...

You and I are in the same boat! But my dat scores are a tad lower having only taken it twice and I was a math major and I have 2000hrs working as a dental assistant, my app was done sept 10th or so and I have 3rejections, other schools are quiet, I'm thinking they're waiting for my academic update in my post bacc predental program. 23pat 22rc 21qr 18 bio 17 gen Chem and 17 orgo 20aa... My sciences are what killed me but I only took orgo (accelerated summer course) chem and one bio course prior so I basically taught my self the material so I'm hoping they'll see my awesome grades this semester and get me an interview! Haha who knows, I'm retaking if I don't get in anywhere, I feel like jan is too late to retake and send in scores

Once again, this is just my opinion, but that TS score might be what is hurting you more then anything, but I have no clue. Best way to find that out it by calling the schools and finding out from the,.

I was rejected from UConn and got that weird email from Columbia. Haven't heard from anyone else though.

I will be in pretty much the same boat GPA-wise next year as you are currently. EC's may or may not be as good as yours...I'm not too sure how to determine what constitutes "good" EC's. Haven't taken my DAT yet, so don't know how that'll turn out.

Well I found out I was rejected from MWU-AZ today. Called and asked, no notes were on my application was told my application was not strong enough at this point. Don't know if that means grades or just because of how late I applied.

I didn't interview. They rejected me and felt I didn't warrant an interview this cycle.
