Hello!

I was wondering if residency is required after completing 4 years of dental school? If not, does one just start working at a clinic immediatley after dental school? Also, do dental schools frequently offer scholarship/financial aid?

Really appreciate all responses!

Often times those who want to enter general practice do a 1 year GPR - General Practice Residency, or an AEGD...( can't remember what that stands for... Advanced Eduction in General Dentistry?) just to boost their skills on more complicated cases, and polish their clinical skills, from what I've heard it's very useful.
