This semester I'm planning on taking biochem II (4000 level), O chem II lab (3000 level), medical microbiology and bio statistics while studying for the MCAT like my life depends on it. There is a 1000 level course offered online this semester that is 4 credits and is about chemistry of everyday things like sunscreen and cleaning products. It looked interesting and has the potential to raise my sGPA by .02 which I think would make a big difference (3.53 vs 3.55). Would it look really bad if I took this class, especially because its my last semester of a 3 year post bacc?

it sounds like you are already going to be taking some demanding classes...I wouldn't worry about taking it. focus on the others

It will make about as much of a difference as submitting your primary app at 9:01 am vs. 9:00 am. Please keep in mind that at some medical schools (including my own), they want to see at least a 3.6 overall (science and non-science) in post-bacc/SMP/grad school.

Take the class if you're genuinely interested, not because you think it'll significantly help your GPA (which it won't).

Thanks! So far I have a 3.7 in my post-bacc which became a second bachelors. Would this be enough for you to want to take a look at my transcript? My last 68 credits were a 3.83 GPA
