I'm about to transfer to a university to finish my degree. I will be there for 3 years. I want to take biochemistry before I take the MCAT and it would look like I would be taking it my senior year. Would It be recommended to take a gap year so I could get suggested classes for the MCAT and med school taken care of? Otherwise I would be taking the MCAT after a year of O-chem and exercise science major courses without Biochem. I'm also a little hesitant since I'll be 28 my senior year.
Thanks
Edit: I would take the MCAT during my junior to senior summer and apply senior year vs. Taking it after I graduate and applying while I'm not in school
