I'm studying for Biochem, and I noticed that Phosphatidylcholine cholesterol acyl transferase is also called PCAT  Did anyone else notice this from your biochem class?

I like my Biochem class, so does that mean I might like Med Chem next year?

Possibly. Depending on how it's taught, Med Chem might be that first class where it all starts to "come together", so to speak. Granted, the UB version of Med Chem isn't necessarily the most vigorous use of our time, but everything I learned in it has come up in one or more other classes.

By the way, nerdy, but awesome.

Not necessarily. At least from my exposure, the two subjects have been fairly distinct, but I think it varies between institutions.

Lecithin form, aka LCAT lol yes that how i remebered it for the test.

Today I was trying to look up the generic for Inderal LA. For a whole semester, I thought it was spelled Propanolol. Today, I found out it's actually Propranolol. I realized that when I had no results for Propanolol when I wanted to look up a potential drug interaction between the drugs I have to learn in Drug Info. Even my spellcheck says propanolol is wrong and propranolol is correct. I just hadn't noticed this before.

Has anyone ever noticed things like this before after knowing that you misspelled something for such a long time?

LOL....very funny.....I had the same thought before pharmacy school when I was a tech and I figured it out during P1 year. Every year Rho Chi at my school hosts a spelling bee, and that year somebody got kicked out with it....that's when I realized it.....so yeah..

On a side note, I participated P2 year and Doxepin got me.....I added an 'e' at the end....wasnt very happy about that ..LOL
