Yes it's silly.

Definetly send in your scores now. They know they're receiving score reports for applicants now. They will just hold onto it. That's what you pay your $50 fee for!!

But when in doubt, you call the schools on EVERYTHING.

This is your life on the line, not theirs....not saying they slack off but you know what i'm saying.
