I would think if you don't hear this week, you can pretty much kiss your chances of a pre-Dec interview goodbye

I was curious what everyone's personal "magic number" of interview invites they are secretly hoping for I am currently standing at 3 invites and I wish I would see one or two more invites rolling in throughout next few weeks. I understand that getting 20 invites doesn't automatically mean you will get into any one of them but why would you not want more invites 😎

I've gone 4/5 and I couldn't be happier. Getting the magical 3 pre-Dec interviews in TX is about as close to a guaranteed acceptance as it gets, so life is good! If I had applied to more schools, I'm pretty sure 4-5 interviews is all I would take anyways.

I applied to 9 and was hoping for 4-5. I got 4... 🙂 And one of them is my state school (also top choice). I feel pretty content. I'm just hoping that I am one of the lucky ones who hears back on Dec. 2 without having to wait a few agonizing days!

I am at 6 for pre-dec and am hoping that will be enough for me. If I hear back from Harvard or Columbia for post-dec I would definitely attend those interviews, but besides that I'm hopeful that I'll be lucky enough to hear back from one of the places I interview at before dec 2nd.

In my opinion, no. UCLA emailed me a few weeks ago and I scheduled an interview just 10 days after my initial invite. I'm sure other schools have just as fast of a turnaround. I would assume you can still land pre-dec interviews for another couple of weeks for sure.

👍 Agreed. I don't think there's a set time we can say pre-Dec interview invites are over. I think it's completely dependent on the school.

Well guess what. I ended up not receiving any additional invites this week. Kind of saddening 🙁
