Hey would you be able to tell me how the interview was like? I just got invited for one and dont know what to expect!

My application was verified 10/15. They emailed me 10/19 saying they have forwarded my application to the admission staff and got an invitation on 10/23.

I haven't heard anything back from them either and its been about two weeks since I submitted my supplemental application

I submitted a little over two weeks myself and still have not heard anything from them regarding the supplemental application. ugh!

when did you put your application in? im still waiting to hear from them.

I interviewed there, it was a very straightforward, group interview, only 2-3 students per group. Why do you want to go here, what makes you a good fit, why would we pick you over other students, etc. No real curveballs.

I also interviewed there Nov 5. It was very laid back and lasted about 1 hour. We also got to sit in a class. The students there were all very welcoming and seemed really interested in the program and happy with their choice. I enjoyed the experience. They do rolling admissions. A few students told me they interviewed in April and were accepted in May, so don't be worried if you haven't heard anything yet.

But my application has been in for months now and haven't gotten anything besides a confirmation email. Why are people who submitted after me getting notified of their status before me?

I have no idea, I'm not an administrator there. You should contact them and ask to see whats going on with your application if your nervous about it.

How long does it take you to hear back from them?
I heard back 3 weeks after the interview. I believe my group was one of the first cohort of interviews that why it took long. Otherwise they should be faster now.

Can you pls tell me how did you feel right after interview? Do u feel confident that u will get in??? And how did you rate yourself compare to other people in ur group??

I was the same way. I interviewed the first week of November and heard yesterday. I felt somewhat confident I would get in after my interview. I interviewed with a few other people that seemed like that had a pretty good chance at getting accepted as well so it is hard to rate myself against them.

I felt the same way. There were 4 of us and the others interviewed pretty well themselves. However, I wasn't as confident after the interview. I got nervous for one of the questions but I quickly turned it around and did well on the rest of the questions asked.

The email only included an acceptance notice. They said they will email us with more information later. I spoke with one of the students at the interview and they told me they did recieve one. I didnt ask others though.

Hi Zeecon,
How long were you on the campus for? from start to finish. The email says to plan to be there for 3 hours. Is that a good estimate?

How long were you on campus for the interview? Did it actually take the full 3 hours like they say?

Yeah, it did. Each part of the interview was about an hour or so. First we interviewed, then took a tour of the campus lead by first yr students, and finally sat in a class and observed. It was a very easy going.

Cool thanks. What kind of questions were asked in the interview?

Also, is it required to stay the entire 3 hours. I wanted to book two interviews on the same day, TJU starts at 11am and the other at 2pm...

How long were you approximately on campus? An 1-2 hours?

11-12:15 was the only mandatory time for the interview. 12:15-1 you can get lunch then 1-2 observe a class and 2-3 was the tour. I stayed for the class but left before the tour because it was a general campus tour, not one of the PT Program

Do they document if you observed the class or went to lunch?

Me and the other interviewees got lunch on our own, they do not provide lunch. Since it was not mandatory I doubt they document it. I skipped the tour and still got accepted if that helps

well I really want to make two interviews on the same day. So after lunch did you meet with the admissions committee before walking to the class to observe? Or was any of the admissions committee sit in with you guys? Thanks!

They told us we were free to leave if we wanted after the interview was over. The admissions counselor walked us up to the room to observe class, but no one stayed with us. If TJ is one of your top choices I would recommend going to the class and not rushing out of there for another interview.

Okay thank you. What kind of questions were asking during the interview ?

The interview was very relaxed. Basic strength and weakness questions as well as a specific question about your application. They asked each interviewee the same questions in succession besides the one based on your application

My interview set up was not the same we interviewed last and observed class and a tour first and weren't given a lunch option so it depends on hat day and I guess the schedule of classes

Thanks for the heads up.

How many questions on average ?

Hi All -

Congrats on being accepted or offered an interview - both are huge accomplishments and I wish you all the best! I will be interviewing at TJU this week. Those of you have previously interviewed - what are the size of interview groups ? What types of questions do that ask ? Straight forward or mostly behavioral/ethical questions?

I am very excited and slightly nervous for the interview as Jefferson is my number one choice! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Once again - best of luck to you all!
