Wiki says thoracic splachnic nerves are visceral afferent while the note cards say visceral efferent. Anyone know which is corrent?
Thanks!

and just to clarify:
general visceral efferent = sympathetic efferent (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_visceral_efferent_fibers)

so, in summary: the thoracic splanchnic nerves carry preganglionic sympathetic (efferent) fibers, and visceral afferent fiber 🙂
