for those of you that are interviewing at NYMC, would you mind telling me how long you had to wait, from completion of your secondary, to hear notification for an interview invite? i was complete with them about 4 weeks ago (on sept. 9th) and still no response. thanks for the help!

i had to wait 2 weeks
my file was complete mid august
and i was invited for interviews at end of august

this is only their second week of interviews

so if u applied recently
i wouldnt worry at all

there's probaby a back log now
with the aug mcat apps coming in as well

they interview LOTS of people
like maybe 1300 or so
and their incoming class is very big compared to other schools

so i wouldnt stress out too much

Just curious, How much bigger is the class size at NYMC than other medical schools?

The class is roughly 190. Drexel has a bigger class, at around 220, but I don't know where else does.

I think Jefferson's class is 250... but I could be wrong.

Hey UCIgrad2002,

Even my file has been complete at NYMC for about a month now..and they tell me that my application is still with the adcom...

Just to let you know that you're not alone!

And yeah..how big is their class???

kgal16 .. how was the NYMC interview like?

So if you get interviewed, what are the chances of you getting in? Are they pretty good or slim? How many students do they take out of those they interview?
