Hey guys/gals..

You know how many of you all have stated that there are usu around 2-3 pharm drugs you guys have never heard of. Any of you all suggest possibly using Lippincotts Pharm book and quickly browsing through the 'millienium update' (ie did any of you all after coming back after the exam see those esoteric Drugs on that thing 😀 😀 )

Hi there, I didn't come across any brand new drugs, but I think I was just lucky. Browsing the millennium update would be a great idea, i think

I got a drug that wasn't anywhere in Lippencott, but that's not that huge since it's a review book. What got me was that it wasn't even in my TEXT book. Which means unless I read the Medical Letter every week or one of my teachers had thought to mention it, there is pretty much no way that I could possibly have been exposed to it in my normal life as a med student. Personally I think it's a little silly to put brand new drugs on that test. Where do they expect us to get that information? 🙄 I don't think they're really worth worrying about though. At most you'll probably only get one. But I agree with bigfrank (really, how could anyone NOT agree with bigfrank 🙂 ), reading the 'millienium update' is a good idea since those drugs aren't really all that new anymore anyway.
