I'm a junior and have pretty much taken all of my basic electives. The only way I have to go is up. I have taken gen Chem 1 with an a, taking gen Chem 2 anticipate a b with an a in lab, general biology with an a, and taking animal biology and anticipate getting an a. I'm concerned about my schedule next semester because it is mostly upper division classes and I've never been exposed to that before. I know it will be difficult but will it be doable? I'm also torn on taking quant analysis instead of organic to get a minor in chemistry with a bio major. Which chemistry do I take this semester? But otherwise this is what I'll be taking:

300 level genetics
300 level histology
Organic chemistry or quantative analysis
General physics

For a total of 17 hours. Am I worrying too much and should I just suck it up? Let me know what you think especially you guys that have been through this already. I would really appreciate it and it would probably be useful to others in my situation. Thanks in advance

Quant was a really hard class at my school. I would deal with organic first since it is (probably) required for your bio major and is a prereq.

Deal with quant/chem minor when or if you have time.

As far as the difficulty, that isn't an easy schedule, but it's going to be your call in the end.

it's doable. I would do organic chemistry first before quant analysis too. You are going to need to do a good time management, since three of the classes (genetics, physics, organic chemistry) would require a lot of practice, whether in form of homework or not. Worst case scenario, if by first 2 weeks you feel you can't handle them, drop one of them.
But once again, I think it's very doable if you don't slack off.

Organic is required for most schools so I wouldn't worry about a minor until you have all the pre reqs. I would try do an easier requirement than histology if you can wait to take it next year as a senior

If you show you can handle that load it will look very good. I'm a D1 and this term we are taking histology, Biochem, and a bunch of smaller classes. I'd recommend Histology if you've never had it....it's a challenge for some of us.

If you have a good GPA I'd do all those classes.
