What do you guys think about me taking chem I and II this summer, then Physics I and II and Orgo I and II together over next school year and then take that Aprils MCAT?
Will it be too rushed?? Thanks

Hey there. It seems your in the same boat when it comes to SDN. I take it you became a member awhile ago in high school and have just been reading the posts, right? Well same here, I guess now that we're undergrads, its time to give back to SDN.

🙂 Anyways, to answer your question, it all depends on your comfort level with biology. If you feel you won't need as much prep for it before you take the MCAT in April, then go for it, but taking your path will put you at a disadvantage when your studying for MCAT b/c your time will be spent in lab and also you will have missed out on the final material for O-Chem II and Physics II (the material post-April). But it all depends on how much time you need to study.

But this isn't to discourage you, many people take this route (hell, im taking o-chem over the summer) and since the focus is on one subject matter, many do fairly well with it.

Hi AHG,

Here's my take on it:

What's the rush?! 😀

As I got older I realized that I would hurry up and try to do things so quickly, ....but in the long run, an extra year doesn't really matter much. I'm sure there are other factors that you have to consider (financial, etc...), but if you can afford not to rush, then I wouldn't.
