Thread for People With No Interviews as of December

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Hey guys, I know it is hard waiting for more interviews in December but all hope is not lost! This time last year I still had 2 interviews coming my way, one in mid-December and another one in early February. The way that my interview invitations worked was that (without fail actually) each successive invite came from more competitive schools. The lesson being that it is normal to have to wait a little longer for interviews at schools you are less competitive for - so don't give up yet!

As an aside I did write update letters and in-the-area letters as frequently as I could and I know for sure it helped for some schools. Best of luck :luck:

Sorry, I didn't mean to say that. I mean based on your remaining schools it seems like you applied a bit top-heavy. I'm not sure of your other schools so I can't say for sure but just an observation.

I agree with you there. It does seem a little top-heavy looking back. I suppose I should've included some more lower tier safety schools. Oh well...let's see what St. George's has to say.

As for the clinical experience, although I don't have much volunteer experience beyond my ED work I have had literally TONS of hands on, face-to-face patient interaction though my research job. Granted, it's not volunteer clinical experience but it is clinical experience nonetheless. Something which I clearly outlined and explained in my primary and secondary. Whether or not med schools distinguish between the two I am not sure.

What are you clinical experiences??

I'll message you, sorry just realized I wasn't replying to the right person.

No need to freak out, guys! I was complete for most FL schools around July and had only 2 II until December (one being my UG institution). Suddenly got 2 more IIs within a one week period in December for FL schools. Try to stay positive!
