Hello everyone! I have around 3 weeks until rotations so I was wondering if I can get some advice about how to prep for clinical rotations during this time- I am probably going to pick up first aid for the wards and go through the intro there. Thanks a lot for your thoughts!

Please just read a couple novels and enjoy the weather. There is nothing you can really do.

I agree. With the addition that you should make sure you have the right books NOW so that when the rotations actually start, you can study.

I plan on reading 250 Biggest mistakes 3rd year medical students make and how to avoid them. I started reading it before Step 1 prep, but now that I'm done, I'm going to read the rest of it.
I just started reading that too. Great minds..

What does this forum recommend for reading during rotations? i've read great things about Step Up to Medicine. Is this a competitor of First Aid for the Wards. I feel loyal to the First Aid series, after pretty much becoming married to First Aid for the Step 1 the past few months, but I'm willing to try new things.

Also, what's the difference between Step up to medicine and step up to the step 2. Is the former more of a general review book during rotations and the latter specifically focused for the test? Thanks for the advice.

i asked this in another thread but didnt get any bites, has anyone tried using the kaplan lecture notes during 3rd year and how did it work out?
