quick question.

I just took NBME 4 and was going through my notes. I'm pretty sure I got the diagnosis right (palpable cord, warm, erythematous region 6cm x 1cm). The question asked what's the treatment and I went with oral diclox. Just about everyone on the internet says warm compresses. The odd thing is that this question isn't showing up in my feedback as being wrong and now I'm supremely confused.

That's because it's erysipelas (not thrombophlebitis) if memory serves properly. It's distinguished by its well demarcated rash.

I think that was a different question because I have that one marked down as erysipelas/cellulitis and answered Group A strep as my answer (also seemingly correct).
