FDA warns marketers of products labeled as dietary supplements that contain tianeptine for making unproven claims to treat serious conditions, including opioid use disorder
FDA new warning regarding sale as a supplement; interestingly scheduled as a C2 in France & Michigan (2018) has listed as a C2 now. Has affinity for Mu-opioid receptor (relatively weak) despite structurally being similar to a tricyclic antidepressant (but does not quite fit the characteristics of a typical TCA in terms of receptor affinities)
Currently sold on Amazon (><)...this is still the wild-wild west but with the internet @ convenience to catering to drug addicts. Marketed in that "nootropic" crowd of sketchy often failed drugs which go without regulation & sold as supplements
