Ties to a state?

When indicating that you have family that live in the state, how do you explain your reason for wanting to attend that school? For instance, suppose you have a cousin in that state.
Please help! I mean, you can't just say...I have family there so that is why I want to go there.

ofcourse you can! and you bet your a@@ I'm gonna mention it in my interview. med schools want to know that you have a support network, because it's not an easy road you've decided ot take. They like knowing that you will have support et all, so you don't drop out. Make sure that's **not** the FIRST reason you've listed for wanting to go to the school....mention it as "the icing on the cake" . . . .
