Im currently going into my Junior year of College majoring in Epidemiology. Due to some bad choices as well as some bad circumstances I currently have a 2.1 GPA. I know I can do much better and I'm aiming at obtaining all A's for the remainder of my College career. My goal has always been and still is, to get into Med School. I'm looking for advice on what options I have in order to reach this goal?

if by med school you mean nursing school i think you are fine

So, you tell people in one thread to "get off SDN and go make friends", but yet you spend your time berating someone on this SDN thread for no apparent reason. Yeah, dude, you'd definitely make a solid, compassionate doctor 👎

So much wrong with this, it's not even funny.

@OP, please visit the nontraditional forum, and read the many, many postings on those in similar situations to that of yours.
  • If you are dead set of MD schools, you will need to finish college extremely strongly, do phenomenally well (35+) on your MCAT, and look into SMP's (and then get a 3.8+ in the SMP) and THEN (and only then), apply to med schools.
  • If you are content with DO school, retake all your grades < C, which DO schools will use their "grade replacement" policy to overwrite your previous grades.
