Hey guys. quick question i'm wondering about. I was wondering when is the last time the dental schools will see ur grades? Meaning lets say you applied in may and your gpa is already calculated in the application (everything from freshmen to may). Do the dental schools still look at the following quarter or quarters grades that haven't been in the application? If they do look at following quarter grades till what month period do they just stop and accept or reject? I know after getting accepted most schools don't care what you get as long as you pass with a C.

The reason i'm asking is I could save some of my toughest courses till the end and raise my gpa up with the easier ones till May. Tnx

I kind of saved my toughest courses for the last semester of my senior year. There is no guarentee that you will be accepted before January 1. So accordingly, during you first semester of your senior year you should aim to get as best grades as possible. If the dental schools still have not accepted you by the end of December/January of your senior year, you will need to fill out an academic update form for that semster. Believe me, you don't want it to have bad grades, if anything better grades and averages then the ones you previously had only to show the dental schools how much you are trying. GOOD LUCK! 😀

Typically, they only care about your grades until you are accepted. After that they just want you to pass the classes you say you will.

If you are waitlisted or they haven't decided on you yet, then it may be important for you to get good grades, so they could factor into your acceptance up until the moment you are accepted.
