Time between interview & decision

Hey everyone! Does anyone know how long after an interview it takes for the school to give you a decision? Is it likely that the time between interview & contact regarding the decision would be more than 2 weeks? I'm sure it varies by school but if anyone could share experiences regarding waiting time, I'd really appreciate that. 🙂

Between one week and never. Seriously. The school that accepted me took one week to accept me, and a couple schools that didn't accept me never responded. No rejection, no wait list. If they accept you, they'll let you know pretty soon. You have to be patient. It's agonizing at times checking your e-mail and phone every day, but it will come. Expect a lot of action in December, January, and February.

Thanks for the reply. I wanted to know because I'm interviewing for a school next week, & another school that accepted me wants a deposit shortly after the interview date. The deposit is non-refundable, & it's the only way I can save my seat, so I was planning to send it only after I knew for sure whether the other school accepted me.

try to ask for an extension, say you are expecting to get paid a few days after if that extra time would help. i know its worked for some

sometimes you just have to eat the money. Some schools will give a partial refund, but dont be surprised if they say no...

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, when I asked for an extension, I was simply told I have 4 weeks to send in the deposit to save my seat. 🙁
