time for one EC

Hey guys,

so apparently an SMP takes a lot of time and i was planning on getting a couple of ECs done this year but that seems a bit harder at the moment.


given the scenario that I have time for ONE EC, what would be most significant.
I want an EC where there is something going on. I hate down time and making unnecessary small talk if there is nothing going on.

my options:
Baylor All-Saints volunteer (ER/NICU/OR)
shadow an internist/Pediatrician
volunteer at a free clinic.
look for research opportunities.

if it helps, Im really aiming for UTHSCSA, UTH, UTMB
