Is it really eight weeks for the Step 2 CS results? Just curious.

It was longer than that for me--November 21st to January 30th. It just depends on when in the testing cycle you take the stupid thing.

Thanks for your reply. I just wonder if they delay on purpose. The longer this takes, the more delayed is the Step 3 exam. For the money spent, they should be able to hire more doctors to read the damned thing.

Thanks for the clarification. By "mail" I'm guessing they mean snail mail. Why was "by canoe" opted out? That would be slower. 🙂

Twenty-four applicants per session, two sessions per day the test is given, five centers, equals heap big money. I wonder why the delay then.

I am scheduled this upcoming year for a similar time frame. Did it matter to residency programs that your score was coming in at a later time than most people's? In other words, did it matter for the match process that the score was only getting reported in January, as opposed to earlier?
