i am planning on taking at least a year off after graduating from school. i was wondering then when should i take the mcat? if i take it junior year then the material will definelty be freshest in my head, but there is a possiblity of the 3 year period of the scores to expire. any advice? thanks

I graduated this past December and plan to start med school in fall 2004, so I'm applying this cycle. I just took the MCAT in April. I had planned to take it my junior year as most people do, but I didn't have time that semester to study for it as much as I wanted to (and I knew I'd be taking a year off). So after graduation, I began a full-time job and devoted my evenings to studying for the MCAT. I had forgotten some material from courses I took in my first two years, but it is easily relearned. Also, if you don't get in the first time, taking it later allows you some leeway with that 3-year MCAT expiration period.
