"Time Off" Secondaries Question

I see a lot of secondaries ask if you have taken time off between undergrad and applying to med school.

I didn't take time off per se, as I've been pursuing a PhD and haven't taken any time off from going to school. On the other hand, I'm not applying straight from undergrad. I've talked about my PhD in my primary, so I'm not sure how to answer this question or if I should be leaving it blank. Thoughts?

Your application shows that you have been in school continuously since 2008 or whenever. There is no gap, there is no need to answer what you have been doing during time off as you have not taken time off.
