I always have been, and probably always will be a relatively "slow test-taker." As such, I usually don't have but around 7-8 minutes remaining when I finish a 50 quest. block of qbank. I've heard that the questions on step 1 are much longer than what is on qbank. If that's true, then I'm screwed!!!

How would you compare the difference between qbank and step 1 as far as time is concerned?

I always had about the same amount of time on QBank left as I did on the real USMLE, so I found them virtually comparable. Take your time but don't get bogged down on one question. But truthfully, your best bet is to get in the habit of taking Qbank timed ALWAYS. I had friends who outscored me on Qbank, but they were not timing it, and they did not beat me on the real deal. The timing is critical!!

I was finishing qbank with 5-10 minutes to spare. On the actual exam I had just enough time for each block. This may have been due to the anxiety related to the actual exam, and the extra care to make sure I was marking the right item, etc. Regardless, I feel with your qbank timing you should have no timing issues on the actual exam. good luck.

ok then, that's at least encouraging. Just wanted to see if I was automatically doomed from the get go.
