How much time did you allow yourself to study before taking the exam? And what did you do immediately after graduation before you were actually licensed? I assume you couldn't be employed as an OT until you passed or do companies hire you on a provisional basis?

I took the exam approximately a month and a half after graduation. I made studying my full time job between graduation and the exam. With regard to starting to work before you have your license, that depends on the state. Some states allow a temp license, some states allow, at the discretion of the organization to hire you on a provisional basis until your license goes through, etc. I had to wait until my license was processed, so in between passing the exam and beginning my job, I enjoyed the copious amounts of free time off!
