Care to share ideas to save time-- either school work-wise or with personal care and chores? I'd like to learn how to protect my leisure time. Thanks.

Timetable's I definately work better under pressure it's much easier to sit down and get something done if you know you only have an hour to do it. Also do house work frequently a pain I now but it only takes five minutes to wash the sdishes after a meal. Also I like to clean the bathroom and my room before I go to sleep even if I'm really tired cos I know if I skip it one day it all just goes into a downwards spiral I'm very lazy at heart.

schedule your showers to follow your bowl movements....you can eliminate having to wipe. Better yet, you could just poop in the shower.

Funny,

As a student, the best thing I could do was use down time during the day to study. This could decrease the amount of evening studying by an hour or more.

I also tried to schedule chores and personsal needs on the weekend mornings. Prior to studying, you could spend 1-2 hours going to the bank and cleaning your bathroom and kitchen. It's much easier when its scheduled and you know you have to do it.

Also, have productive study breaks. I.e. use grocery shopping as a break between study sessions. And if you use timetables, I would make sure to schedule some open time so that they are flexible, and if you miss one thing the whole schedule doesn't become garbage.

u can get a mirror in the shower and shave in the shower.

u can get a headset for ur cell phone so u can vacuum or do laundry while on the cell phone

u can stop going to class

get a palm pilot and put ur books in it so u can get alot of work done in the wards when u are a 3rd year.

I hate going grocery shopping so I use one of my closets to house a ton of bathroom and kitchen essentials. A couple times a year I ask one of my friends who has a big old SUV to take me to BJs or Costco, someplace like that, then I buy tons of those 24 packs of toilet paper, towels, cases of soda and beer, tomato sauce, canned veggies and fruits, pasta, basically anything that will not go bad. Then I shove it in my closet. When I run out of something I just have to run to the closet and restock. This saves tons of time grocery shopping. The only things I need to pick up at the grocery store are the perishable things like milk, cheese, etc. Some of my friends make fun of my little stockpile, but I never ever have to run out to buy toilet paper during the middle of finals. 😀
