Time strategy for PAT

How do you divide up the time for PAT since there's 5 sections with only 60 minutes? TIA

You should be able to finish Angles really quickly. Maybe 40 seconds per question. Cube Counting should be finished within 8-10 minutes. (So you should probably flip the timing for Angle and CC unless you can count super fast with accuracy)

I wouldn't worry about the timing too much. I think you should have a set method of doing each section and more practice will allow you to move quickly through your strongest sections.

I personally started on the CC first and then moved onto Hole punching and then angles. Left all the time for TFE, Keyholes and Paper folding. Setting a specific time limit for each section is just too much pressure and waste of precious time during the real test. I think you should just make sure you leave 10 minutes each for the harder sections (the ones you are having a hard time in).

Go as fast as you can, if you don't know it or if the question is difficult then mark it and move on, you will be pressed for time so don't dwell on a question for too long as each question is worth the same value.

The biggest challenge for me was paper folds so I tries to get through TFE in 10. Then any time I had extra to go over marked questions. But I found it helpful to pace myself by section.

everyones going to spend different amounts of time on each section. however, there isn't a lot of thinking involved with reasoning out the angles, thus I feel that the least amount of time should be spent here.

if I had to rank the amount of time spent on each section 1-most to 6-least

(1/2) keyhole/TFE
(3/4/5) cubes/pattern/holepunch
(6) angles

for those of you struggling with pattern folding, realize that some distinctions are very easily made to eliminate answer choices, instead of folding the pattern mentally and then checking if the answers follow, I suggest doing the opposite which would be to see if a particular answer is possible given the question. Many times the largest side will have the incorrect print or the most obvious fold will be messed up.
