What are the different companies/banks that offer consolidation? I am getting ready to start my internship and I was told that they would be knocking down my door at this point. Does anyone know of a good website or any general info on consolidation companies?

Are we supposed to consolidate towards the end of the grace period or before the grace period begins?

Also, does interest accumulate on the unsubsidized loans during the grace period?

I just had my exit interview with our financial aid coordinator (he's an amazing guy...quite the guru).

Anyway, for me, he suggested consolidating in September (especially if interest rates are lowered in May), then, I would have 1.5 months left on grace to send in 1 deferment (I should qualify for 3 years...here's hoping).

The 1 deferment would take the place of the 5 separate deferments I would have to put up without consolidating.
