What recommendations do you all have about how much time (months) I would need to prep for the DATs...and what is the DAT destroyer is that helpful?

I think 2-3 months would be enough.

DAT Destroyer is pretty much a book full of sample problems and explanations. You can get it at www.orgoman.com.

I agree 2-3 months is ample time to prepare. I think the Kaplan book would be a good place to start. It's not close to enough preparation but its a good overview of most of the topics you'll encounter come test day. Add Destroyer and Schuams bio to your arsenal after you complete the Kaplan book. Like jigabodo said Destroyer is a book of sample questions. Don't make the mistake of MEMORIZING it question for question. Use it to test your knowledge and know not only the topic in the question but know what would have made the other answers correct. Too many predents buy that book and think if they memorize it they will magically get a 20+. When you get closer to your test date Top Score and Acheiver will help you become comfortable with the timed sections and the computer software by which the exam is given. Use your old textbooks and wear out wikipedia for further explanantions.

Good Luck!!!!!!!

2-3 months is more than enough time. Remember that it is important to give yourself relax time and to take the occasional day off.

i only knew about kaplan and didn't score high enough. Where can I get topscore and overachiever?
