Hello,

I'm taking the MCAT in April 2016 and was wondering what the timeline for things would be after. Does anyone know the exact date when the AMCAS application will open and when is the first date to submit applications and when the last day to submit is?
I've been searching around the AMCAS website for a while but they only give a general time frame of when applications will open and when we can submit it.

AMCAS opens for editing around the first week of May, and submission of primaries begins during the first week of June.

Pre-write your secondaries and send them in ASAP! Make sure your LORs are in also!

Also, request transcripts from every college/university you've taken classes at! It may work differently for different schools but I'm a nontrad and have taken classes at multiple schools. I had to sign forms for each school to release my transcripts to AMCAS.

I also found it helpful to have at least one copy of each transcript for myself when entering courses into AMCAS. What you enter needs to be an exact match of what's on your transcript--any errors can prolong the verification process.
