Due to complications from COVID-19, AMCAS has released a statement that they will accept PDFs of official transcripts by email if they are sent from the registrar of your institution along with the transcript request form. Does anyone know approximately how long it will take AMCAS to process transcripts sent using this method so that they will show up on applications? I ordered my transcript three weeks ago from my institution but there have been issues so someone from the registrar's office is emailing mine today. I do not want this so significantly delay my application.

I had this EXACT issue. My registrar was able to email them on 5/14 and we are still waiting for AMCAS to mark received. If you call, the pre-recorded message says up to 10 business days.

Best of luck.

My registrar emailed mine yesterday, and also told me that AMCAS said 10 business days from receipt to process.

Link to statement? What email address are they supposed to send them to? I had a paper transcript mailed on May 4 and it still isn't received.

That's the correct one! Received automated email from AMCAS when I asked about it.

Is the email that the transcripts can be sent to from the registrar [email protected] or is there a separate one?
that part of the CourseWork was so poorly worded that I thought I had to get my registrar to contact them so they can give him a top secret email address lol...
thanks so much for the confirmation

You can send transcripts to that email or a different email that they send you when your registrar emails the etranscript address about it. There are two different emails, but they both work!
