Hey guys,

The only available MCAT date I can sign up for in my area is in late May. Scores released late June.
I can certainly have my primary ready by early June. Am I able to submit my primary in early June without a full school list while I wait for my scores? Am I able to add schools to the primary app after it has been submitted or am I stuck with what I choose upon submission in early June before knowing my scores?
I want to be early in the queue but also want to adjust my school list once the scores arrive.

Thank you.

Yeah what people usually do is apply to one throwaway school (or if you want to save money then a lower ranked school on your list) and then add schools after you get your MCAT results. Its really easy to do. This way once you get your results your application is already verified

I didn't submit my primary until after i received my results because I was scared honestly. So i didn't submit until late July might have held me back a little but it all worked out.

Cool. Does adding schools later on put you farther back in the queue or nah? Heard schools don't even see your app until 6/30. If so, I'll just put my state schools down early June, submit, and then add the rest late June once the scores arrive.

Im not sure but honestly if you apply the first few days it opens you are extremely early and you shouldn't have to worry about those sorts of things

Nah, adding schools does not put you back in the queue.

NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!

You put down a school that you DONT CARE ABOUT, THAT YOU WOULD NEVER WANT TO ATTEND.

A throwaway school either out of state that never takes outsider or a school so high you wont have a shot. What happens if you put in your state school in early June then completely bomb the MCAT? You would either withdraw or be rejected and be a reapplicant next time.

Never ever apply to a medical school that you would like to attend without knowing your MCAT score
Ah good catch. Glad I asked. Thanks for the heads up, @gonnif.
