I am planning on taking the DAT about 2 weeks before the first day opens for the app season, any opinions on that strategy? Is it still late or should I be fine?

Yes you will be fine. You will see your scores automatically. The application receives your scores and will upload them online sometime after you take it.

You're fine, it usually takes 2-3 weeks for DAT scores to be processed and the first batch of applications goes out at the end of June.
