I've always felt that AMCAS and med schools are pretty firm on their deadlines but is pretty ambiguous with regards to deadlines on interviews and secondaries. That said, does anyone know the earliest dates that schools send out sceondaries and applications. I got my application porcessed and verified but is still awaiting response. And just for fun and to pass the time, I am planning on retaking the MCAT in August.
Any feedback is appreciated.

You should get all secondaries withing 5 days of submitting your aamcas. If you have not received any, I would not expect them to come at all.





























seriously, they come when they come. Some within a few weeks, some several months later. When they start coming, you are gonna wish that they would stop because they suck to fill out.

Crap on a crutch!!!! The first two lines nearly killed me. Then I scrolled down... Thanks for the response, and yeah it does suck to fill 'em out. I was just asking because last year I applied in October and got secondaries within a week. I guess that was only so that they could take my money and reject me by the deadline in December.

I spoke with AD from SUNY Upstate on Wednesday; she said they'll be taking the AMCAS download on July 6th, with secondaries to follow soon after.

Really? I called amcas and they said dnlds begin for schools sometime on or after mid-july. Guess they really dont know what the hell they doing.
Oh well, the earlier, the better 🙂

Thanks for the info. These people take their sweet time or what? Anyways, no use complaing against the law of the land, it's not gonna change.
