Can someone give me the general timeline of when things should occur? (like turning in application, interviews, acceptances, etc?)
 
Fill out primary... get secondary a few weeks after that.... get notification for rejected or "hold" status (no interview yet) or interview a few weeks or months after that... If Interviewed, usually get notified within 30 days if accepted/waitlisted.

One big run on sentence-
