😕 Hi Everyone,
I am in the very first stages of laying out my AADSAS plan of attack (logistically speaking, not physically!🙂 ). My goal is to have my application in to AADSAS within a week of their earliest application-acceptance time. I really need experienced pre-dents to help me with this one. I think my confusion comes from the massively long turnaround time between me submitting it and them actually opening it and looking at it, plus the schools getting the info. Right now, I only need help figuring out how to submit my application at "x" time so that when it arrives, it is one of the first. What is "x"? My pre-dental advisor is not being very helpful with this--- she seems to think submitting in the middle of the summer is just as good. I have to keep explaining rolling admissions like a broken record, so I really need your help!
I have learned that AADSAS opens its doors for applications in mid-May 2007.
Question: Assuming I know what the application looks like and what it requires, and am about 90% ready, if I submit everything online within a week of May 15-ish, will I be one of the first applicants? Most importantly, since the application asks for physical things like transcripts and LOR's (which advisor is sending), when should I ask her to physically put them in the mail so they arrive by the time mid-May approaches? Should she just make a postal travel time estimate to aim for mid-May, or should she send them way early because it will take them several weeks to even look at them after they have arrived? How early? Also, if they are too early will AADSAS turn them away, or will they hang on to them until mid-May (like schools and DAT scores)? I just don't think their "we open in mid-May" and "apply early" is nearly descriptive enough to really help me a this point...my only goal is to have a complete application ASAP after the gates have opened. I can't be the only person who has thought about this. Please help! I really appreciate it. Thanks!
