😕Help!!! My 7 schools just recieved my completed secondaries. Though I tried staggering them by submitting my top choices 2-3 wks before my fall backs a discrepancy in my name on lor's caused all packets to be completed at the same time. Now I have recieved 2 interview invites, which I am psyched about, but they are from my 5th and 7th choices. How should I schedule these interviews not knowing when or if I will be interviewed by my top choices?

Go to all the interviews you get, or at least all that you can afford. Especially since you aren't even sure if you'll get one from one of your top choices. Giving yourself as many opportunities for an acceptance is definitely wise. The cost of interviewing at as many places as possible is small compared to the cost of not getting in, or of going to a school that's not the best fit for you. Who knows, one of your lower choices might surprise you.

Trying to time your interviews is a crapshoot. I submitted most of my secondaries at the same time, and yet got invites from some within a few days, others a month later, and I'm still waiting on one....

I agree as well. You should attend all of your interviews. Who knows you may go to the interview and actually love the school and it may go from 5th to 1st. Getting an interview is already a feat in itself. There are many other applicants that dream of getting an interview so take the opportunity and attend the interviews.

Consider yourself blessed indeed to receive multiple interviews with others likely.

Some applicants receive no interviews at all. Your last choices now may be your first choice later. Use the opportunity to practice interviewing. From my experiences, I believe that my 2nd and 3rd interview went better than the first (though I got accepted after the 1st interview).

Keep an open mind and make your decision regarding which school to attend after the process is over. Don't be fixated on one or two schools now. Make a concerted, well-reasoned decision as the process concludes.

Good luck.

This is all very solid advice. Thanks for saving me the time, ld2b! 😀

Thanks for the advice, it definately puts me more at ease, but I have one more question. How strict do schools stick to the acceptance deadlines? For instance, if I am accepted to a school yet have more than 2 weeks before another interview are they likely to extend the aacomas acceptance guidelines which say you must accept or decline in 2 weeks?
