I am in my grace period currently. I am going to do IBR. I have two lenders, neither of which are Direct, so will be consolidating to take advantage of the 10 year of payments while working for a non-profit program.
Are there any pitfalls to applying for these simultaneously? I plan to not use my grace period, so I was afraid that the consolidation might occur sooner and my IBR not be complete yet.
