Hey everyone,

I'm an international fellow and am interested in applying to Critical Care in the USA. I've been on the ERAS website, but am having trouble understanding the timelines and find it kind of confusing. I'd appreciate some help to understand the timelines for critical care...

- When are the applications due if you want to start in July 2016?

- When do the interviews usually occur?

- When do you usually find out about where you have "matched"?

Thanks so much - your help is greatly appreciated!

June 11: pay for ERAS token and work on your application
Programs can download typically in early July, you want to have everything ready by that date
Interviews typically from Sept to Oct, some of the best programs interview early (Aug, Sept)
There is no match, most programs send out offers in October, but they may offer you a position earlier (has happened as early as August)

this is all for critical care medicine, not anesthesia or surgical critical care, and not Pulm/CCM

Thank you so much!!

What is typically required with the application? I'm sure reference letters and CV. Is there a personal statement required?

Anything else?

3 letters of recommendation, cv in eras format, personal statement, usmle scores
