Hey!
Do you think residency programs look at when a student has taken a STEP 1 exam?
I think scores are more important, but in my situation - I finished my third year of medical school and my school has not allotted enough dedicated time. I will be taking a year off to conduct research.
So, I may potentially take STEP 1 after a research year. However, I want to finish STEP 2 CK and CS before electives start... so collectively, I would be taking all of these exams after my third year within weeks of each other. Does that look suspicious or weird? Like would it be a topic of conversation during potential residency interviews?
