Hello Everyone,

I just got a call back for a sales associate job and they want to conduct a skype interview with me tomorrow. What should I expect in this kind of interview? What tips can you all give me to ace the interview? What should I avoid saying in this kind of job interview? And also the biggest concern I have is that I have never had any sales experience, what should I say to make up for not having any sales experience?

Thank you all,

Ignore the temptation to see if you can get away with conducting the interview with no pants on. Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD.
I'm glad you covered this; it was my advice. Even if you're planning to sit the entire interview, you never know.

For real OP, I've only done one skype interview ever, so I dont really have any experience to pass along.

I've only done one Skype interview myself and I was still going to give advice. 😀
I have done quite a bit of interviewing and the best advice whether in person or via Skype is to act interested in whatever they say and have some good questions planned to ask. If you can get them talking about themselves and the job, then you are in. Also, practice answering the basic questions such as What are your strengths and weaknesses? Talk about a difficult situation at a previous job and how you handled it. Why do you think you would be a good fit for this job? If you were a tree, what type of tree would you be? 😛
