I just bought CDP Royal Flush. I need help in approaching the TFE section. I read about the line counting but I want to learn the "real" method. I dont have any specifics because all of them are difficult for me, because I dont know where to start.

Thanks

How should I get started on studying for the PAT? I have CDP, but am clueless on every section of the pat except the keyholes.

Hey...It sounds like we have the same problem. I just posted a thread also. The line counting is not 100% reliable......is the CDP worth the mony? I don' thave it ans was thinking to buy it.

Yes it is. For time management. The more practice the better you will do. I started studying for the PAT by reading about it in the Kaplan Book. Just to get an idea of what each section was like and how to approach. I took their little section practice tests to get a feel for what I would be doing. Then I just started taking the crack the PAT tests. Angle ranking is the only thing I don't believe you can really work on. On my real PAT the angles were ridiculous. I just went on first instinct. Sometimes I would place my fingers up to the computer screen to create an equal point of measurement for two angles, cause some edges are longer.

That PAT on topscore is too easy. I never got below a 23.

line counting is not reliable at all in real PAT forget that.

Line counting is not bad, but you can't depend on it 100%, you need to visualize it. I only got 21 on DAT, but i owe it all to CDP, just keep on doing the practice tests and try line counting out. Remember, though line counting doesn't work all the time, i would say it works about 70-80% of the questions and that was good by my standards.
Good luck
