Hi Guys,

i think i might've hit writer's block with my personal statement and i need inspiration. can someone give me some tips on how to write a strong, WOW conclusion? should it just tie everything up and reiterate that i'll be a kick ass doctor? i don't know how to go about doing this...my concept of a conclusion is that which i was taught in middle school "just restate everything" 🙁

I used to write for my local newspaper, so hopefully I can help.

Just give a brief recap on what your paper is about. That'll help make my advice somewhat more relevant.

"And in the end, it was lupus after all."

Be sure to tie it to the begining, I always feel this ties a paper together nicely 🙂

If you can do this, it works out very well. But definitely don't do it if you have to force it because it could end up being awkward.

Your whole essay leads to the conclusion and should support it. So, make sure you don't introduce new stuff and try to summarize the *point* of your essay. Making broad stately statements is usually okay here as long as it's supported by evidence in the preceding paragraphs.

Tying it to the beginning is always nice. If you can't do that (or even if you are), a few sentences on "looking to the future" usually works pretty well.

Your conclusion should say: why medicine + tie it to the theme of your paper. say something new while keeping within the parameters of your paper
