If you just recently took the DAT, do you have any tips for the actual test taking on the day?

Go to the washroom, eat a snack.

Do a full length practice a week and treat it like the real thing.
Topscore is pretty good.
 
what you guys eat before and during break? i have a freaking fast metabolism and my stomach always growls..

Didn't drink a damn thing for fear of having to pee super bad. I did eat a banana and an energy bar during the break (like the ones you take hiking) so that I had some good brain-food.

I went to the bathroom and ate a granola bar and drank gatorade (its full of electrolytes and won't make u wanna pee like drinking water would in the same amount of time) in the lobby....i really wanted to go outside and be in the sunlight for 30 seconds but they dont allow it -__-
 
From a biological standpoint the brain uses Glucose the best. Fruit is great, gatorade is awesome too. A spoon full of sugar whatever.
 
My plan of action...
Banana, energy bar, gatorade... I think I'm set! 😍

Now what to eat for breakfast🙄
 
besides the obvious take a deep breath relax.

because I love sports analogies you need to have a short memory. Like a pitcher or quarterback.

give up a home run,threw a pick. doesn't matter they happened can't undo them now. focus on the play that happening now.

Same deal on the test.

If you get flustered during a section, let it go. Especially if its early on. The more you think the more you allow it to snow ball and hurt your other sections.

I would definitely agree...I ate a granola bar and a bit of water (definitely parched but I didnt want to risk having to go numero 1..) I stood in the window and took in the rays of the sun that way! haha, but seriously, get up, walk around, stretch it out...etc. Do what ever you need to do to get focused for reading cuz you need to be on your A-game!!
